Cyborg-Human war chronology

17th February 2099. | First encounter

The colony ship is overrun by Cyborgs. The crew of the colony ship sends out an emergency transmission to alert Earth of the incoming flood of the Cyborgs.

4th March 2099. | First Cyborg wave
The first wave of Cyborgs reaches Earth bringing great devastation, destructing the major cities of Humanity.

30th March 2099. | Nuclear countermeasure
As a final hope, high altitude nuclear strikes are commenced against the Cyborgs (using ICBMs) to generate overwhelming electromagnetic pulses rendering the Cyborgs useless. The attempt is a success and most Cyborgs were rendered offline, but the strategy compromised the location of the nuclear ICBM launch sites.

2nd May 2099. | Second Cyborg wave
The second wave of Cyborgs arrive to Earth. Prior to their landing, they’re bombarding the nuclear ICBM sites of Humanity, rendering U.E.D. defenseless against their attacks.

15th May 2099. | Jet boots introduced
Jet boots are started to be used by Earth Defense forces granting them tactical advantage over Cyborgs, resulting in victories for U.E.D. forces.

7th June 2099. | Cyborg Jet boots
Cyborgs began to produce and use Jet boots, resulting in tactical balance.

20th July 2099. | Shielding technology revealed
Thanks to the efforts of a young boy and his recruited squad a Sentinel weapons depot is located, granting Earth Defense personal shielding technology, resulting in great tactical advantage over the Cyborgs.

8th August 2099. | Third Cyborg wave
The third wave of Cyborgs are arriving to Earth.

15th August 2099. | Cyborg personal shields
Cyborgs acquired enough personal shields to reverse-engineer them and began to produce their own versions.

24th September 2099. | E.M. pulse generators introduced
First law Sentinels developed Electromagnetic Pulse generators are started to be used against the Cyborgs with great success, resulting in major victories over the Cyborgs.

3rd October 2099. | Cyborg Moon strategy
Cyborgs make an attempt to redirect the Moon to make it collide with Earth, erasing all remaining Human population. Several commandos are sent with dropcrafts to the Moon, to deploy quantum-nuclear warheads. Due to the success of the commando teams the Cyborg attempt fails, the majority of the Moon is vaporized by the explosion of the warheads.

6th November 2099. | Cyborg meteor strategy
Cyborg attempts to bombard Earth using redirected asteroids. Earth Defense counters them using shielded ballistic missiles fitted with quantum-nuclear warheads which instantly vaporize the asteroids.

18th December 2099. | Operation: Earth Liberation
O.:E.L. or as most soldiers refer to it: “The planetary shield campaign” was expected to be the last effort required to liberate Earth and ensure the safety of the remaining human population. By using Sentinels shield technology and the quantum-nuclear power production method, Earth Defense developed planetary shield generators. A military campaign is immediately started to deploy such generators at several key locations of Earth to hopefully secure the entire planet from the Cyborgs and grant enough time for Earth Defense to rebuild itself and prepare a proper strike force or special plan to clean the planetary system from the Cyborgs.

16th January 2100. | Earth liberated
Operation: Earth Liberation is a success and Earth seems completely protected against the Cyborgs.

22nd January 2100. | Earth is secure!
After several attempts to devastate Earth, the Cyborg space fleet leaves the vicinity of the planet. Neither redirected asteroids; devastating fleet weapons such as naval laser-, rail- or ion-cannons; nor nuclear bombs nor their effects could get past Earth’s shields, leaving no other choice for the Cyborgs then to retreat and prepare for defense.

The future… | Interplanetary campaign
No one knows yet what Stronberg plans next, but Earth Defense strategists are confident that the U.E.D. will win the war. The Cyborgs can construct an overwhelming fleet if they are ordered to but the shielding technology still gives advantage over the Cyborgs by the creative use by Humanity. As of yet it seems that the Cyborgs haven’t acquired quantum-nuclear technology yet, which ensures the superiority of Earth Defense shields, as as long as U.E.D. shields are impenetrable by Cyborg weapons, Humanity will prevail even in fleet battles.

Some say that a strike against Mars would be an ensured solution, and possibly the only one, while others predict that even if Stronberg and his order is dead, the Cyborgs will keep fighting… therefore many prefer a quick “cleanup” campaign against the asteroid region to eliminate all Cyborgs before they somehow acquire quantum-nuclear technology. What is sure is that even if Earth is secure from the Cyborgs, conflicts between various human factions are still present, therefore the future of Humanity is not decided yet, and the end of the war is yet to come…
