Unified Earth Defense
Also known as “Earth Defense” or U.E.D. in short. The united armies of Earth assembled and reorganized by Project: Golden Age under the leadership of a separate and independent organization: The Global Defense Committee.
Earth Liberation Force
Also known as “The Liberators” or E.L.F. in short. A long time initiative against Project: Golden Age. Before the Cyborg-Human war E.L.F. forces committed terror acts against Project: Golden Age facilities, cargo transports, leaders; various U.E.D. targets; and gathered those who were rejected by Project: Golden Age and provided shelter for them.
First law Sentinels
Symbol of the Sentinels: I (Roman one) represents the “First law” and the eye represents “Sentinel”.
Also known as “The Sentinels”. A covert organization originating from the times of the introduction of cyborgs. The Sentinels operate undercover, independently from every nation, government organization and corporation, but under the support of various intelligence agencies of the 21st century and their successors. Their purpose is to over watch cyborg activity and prevent or eliminate any cybernetic threat that endangers human lives or Humanity itself. Sentinels are also developers and manufacturers of anti-cyborg and counter-cybernetic weapons, technologies and measures; and stockpiled large quantities of such weapons and equipment in secret at several points of Earth.
Their name originates from the stories of a 20th century science-fiction writer, in which stories cyborg-like robots are ruled by three laws of their programming to ensure the safety of humans and the robots themselves. The first law is responsible for the safety of humans, therefore is the chosen title of the Sentinels as they are the enforcers of such law in case cyborg safety regulations fail. First law Sentinels are the final hope and last line of defense of Humanity against cyborgs.
Every Sentinel carries the symbol of the First law Sentinels as a tattoo on a usually hidden spot of their body as a secret identification.
Cyborgs
Conventional cyborgs (referred without capital “C”) are those which are produced by humans to aid them, while Cyborgs (referred with capital “C”) are those Cyborgs which were created and programmed by Marcus Stronberg and his cause. The same applies to the case of androids and Androids. Stronberg’s Cyborgs (with a few exceptions like the Androids and the first wave of Cyborgs) are marked with a special symbol, unknown to Earth Defense.
